Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Sparqed Shopify application ("Sparqed," "we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Sparqed is a tool that helps Shopify merchants generate product descriptions using artificial intelligence. We've written this in plain language because you deserve to understand it.

Who this applies to

This policy applies to Shopify merchants who install and use the Sparqed app in their store. It describes how we handle information associated with your store and the product content you choose to process through Sparqed.

What we collect

When you install and use Sparqed, we store a limited set of information tied to your store:

• Store identifier — your Shopify store domain (e.g. your-store.myshopify.com), used to associate your settings and subscription with your account.
• App settings — the product niche you select during onboarding.
• Subscription information — your selected plan and status, managed through Shopify's billing system.
• Usage counts — the number of descriptions generated in a billing period, so we can enforce plan limits.
• Product content you provide — the product names, features, and any product page URLs you enter or submit to generate a description.

Sparqed does not collect or store your customers' personal information. We do not access, request, or retain data about the individual shoppers who buy from your store.

How we use it

We use the information above only to operate the app:

• To generate product descriptions based on the content you provide.
• To remember your niche selection and app preferences.
• To manage your subscription and enforce plan usage limits.
• To respond to support requests and keep the app working correctly.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it except as described below.

Third-party services

To generate descriptions, Sparqed sends the product content you provide to trusted third-party services that perform specific functions. These providers process that content only to return a result to you:

• Anthropic — the product details you submit are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the description text. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Firecrawl — if you use the URL auto-fill feature, the product page URL you provide is sent to Firecrawl to extract product details from that page.
• Shopify — Sparqed runs as an embedded Shopify app and relies on Shopify for authentication and billing. Your use of Shopify is governed by Shopify's Privacy Policy.
• Railway — our application and database are hosted on Railway's infrastructure.

Data retention

We keep your store settings, subscription, and usage records for as long as you have Sparqed installed. If you uninstall the app, or if Shopify sends us a data-deletion request on your behalf, we delete the data associated with your store. We honor Shopify's mandatory data-deletion (shop redaction) requests.

Your choices

• You can uninstall Sparqed from your Shopify admin at any time.
• You can request deletion of your store's data by contacting us at the email below.
• You control what product content you submit — Sparqed only processes what you choose to enter.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
